Affiliate Spotlight

Dine Out for the Cure beginning July 27, 2010 at Mr. Greek's Coney Island, 215 S. State St., Ann Arbor, every Tuesday. Louie Anton, owner of Mr. Greek's, decided to give back in a big way - he will be donating 20% of all proceeds to the Mid-Michigan Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. So, why Komen? For Louie, the answer is simple - his wife Nazik. Initially diagnosed with state 1 breast cancer, Nazik's sister-in-law urged her to seek a second opinion - and that probably saved her life. Nazik was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, underwent a bilateral mastectomy, and has completed 4 rounds of treatment with 8 more to go. "I wanted to do something to honor and celebrate my wife as she bravely battles this disease," says Louie. "Breast cancer affects so many women and families; I hope that someday there will be a cure, but until then, it is so important to fund breast cancer screening and education." So be sure to join Louie every Tuesday and Dine Out for the Cure at Mr. Greek's Coney Island located at 215 S. State St. in Ann Arbor. For Mr. Greek's menu information visit www.mrgreeka2.com.
