At Specialized, we are committed to addressing the issues that affect women's lives. Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women today, affecting one out of every eight females. Many of us have had loved ones, even co-workers, affected by breast cancer, and these brave individuals inspire us every day to do our part.
We know that fitness plays an important role in helping to fight breast cancer and regular physical activity, like riding a bike, may reduce one's risk of developing this disease. Because of this, Specialized has teamed up with Susan G. Komen for the Cure by actively sponsoring "for the Cure" events as well as offering limited edition bikes and equipment with a portion of the proceeds going directly to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. We want to encourage women to get out and ride and at the same time, contribute to this significant cause.

Contributions To-Date:
Specialized has partnered with Komen for the Cure since 2007 and has donated more than $450,000 to aid in the fight against breast cancer. As part of our continuing commitment to Komen, Specialized will be donating $400,000 in 2010 through the sale of limited edition Susan G.
